Long serving Vice President John McDonald has recently passed away. Not only did John do a lot for our club he also made a major contribution to the hockey community in the Bristol area. West Glos won a thriller against City of bath 4-3. They raced into a 3-0 lead by half time with two goals from Mike Shears and one from Mike Wingent. City of Bath levelled the score in a 10 minute blitz in the second half. However, West Glos regained their composure and Matt Gardner came back onto the pitch to score the winner at the death. Seconds lost 4-3 in their best performance of the year, and 3rds lost 4-2 to Westbury. We do not want West Glos to be another of what seems a growing number of clubs that behave poorly. We are better than this. As such please can I ask you all to exercise due restraint, even in the event of provocation. AGM - 18 March Please hold this date. Details and the agenda will be advised. There will be key matters to discuss affecting the future of the club. We also require volunteers who would be willing to take on a formal role or otherwise help with the running of the club Please make sure you attend and get involved. Club Dinner and Awards Night - 15 March St Alban's Hall. Guests of club members are warmly invited. Email Stu Fraser now with your order!!
